Spread the word: CMA’s official ad campaign

We have officially launched our 4th CMA campaign year and successfully created 4 new CMA commercials! That’s at least 4 times as many ways for you to have fun sharing your CMA story, practical CMA advice, and our relevant, humorous, and inspiring new CMA ads. YOU are in a position to help someone in need of advancing their career!

We are asking that you share, like, and post about the CMA. When you share information on your social accounts like LinkedIn, post and answer questions on Reddit and Quora, or like the commercial on YouTube, you lend credibility to the CMA. The success of this campaign and the CMA program depends on extending IMA's reach and voice, and we rely on volunteers like you in making that happen. Please see below how and where you find us if you don’t already follow IMA online

Membership & Compensation Reports at your fingertips

Beginning with the August 2019 reports, you will be able to run your chapters’ monthly membership activity and compensation reports directly from the Chapter Portal > Chapter Tools. Going forward the you will be able to run the reports on the 7th day of each month.

These new enhancements will allow you to:

  • View membership activities in a Dashboard format
  • Easily switch between different sections of the report via tabs (Joins, Reinstatements, Anniversaries, Transfer Ins, Terminations, Transfer Outs, Renewals, Education, Certification, Other Education, and Competition Summary)
  • Conduct text searches
  • Filter/sort data
  • Export reports in PDF format
  • Review historical data at your convenience

Important Notes: There will be a new section called “Additional Compensation” which will contain reports that only list earnings not generated through membership activities recorded in our database. Examples include: Student Chapter Fundings, Growth Incentive Payments, Chapter Challenge Awards, and Level of Service Compensation reports will still be available to run on the Portal even if your chapter is currently not eligible for compensation. Please note retro payments will not be granted. So, we urge you to remain compliant.

Please reach out to your Community Relations support person to inquire about the reinstatement process if your chapter isn't currently receiving compensation.

PR Corner – the Latest on IMAs Press Coverage

Earlier this month, IMA released two SMAs on the value of certification, one looking at the importance to professionals, and the other looking at the importance to organizations.

According to the findings, the greater an organization values certification, the more likely that organization is to have a highly effective finance and accounting function. Further, from an employee perspective, professional certification can determine promotion decisions. More information about the SMAs is available in our press release here. The reports can be viewed here (organizations) and here (professionals).
